We're looking for a skilled and motivated AV & Automation Technician to join our team and help bring our clients' smart home visions to life.
Position Overview:
As an AV & Automation Technician, you’ll assist in installing and setting up home theaters, audio/video systems, and smart home technology including lighting control, motorized shades, climate systems, and more. You’ll work closely with the project team to ensure clean, professional installs that function flawlessly and exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install AV equipment such as TVs, speakers, projectors, AV receivers, and control processors
- Install and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat6, speaker wire, control, coax, etc.)
- Assist with the installation and basic setup of automation systems (e.g., Control4, Savant, Lutron)
- Mount and wire equipment racks, network gear, and head-end components
- Perform basic programming, configuration, and testing of smart home devices
- Troubleshoot AV and automation systems during and after installation
- Maintain clean, professional job sites and provide excellent customer service
- Work with team leads and project managers to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in AV installation, automation, or low-voltage wiring
- Familiarity with AV and smart home systems (e.g., Control4, Lutron, network gear) is a plus
- Ability to read system diagrams and use tools confidently and safely
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Comfortable using ladders, power tools, and working in various construction environments
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
