Overview
The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during overnight hours. This position is responsible for balancing financial transactions, providing exceptional guest services, and maintaining the front desk operations. As the primary point of contact for guests during the night, the Night Auditor ensures a welcoming atmosphere and addresses any guest inquiries or concerns efficiently.
Duties
- Perform nightly audits of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with hotel policies.
- Manage front desk operations, including check-ins and check-outs, while providing excellent customer service.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues that arise during the night shift.
- Maintain accurate records of room availability and reservations.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions securely.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports summarizing hotel occupancy, revenue, and other key metrics.
- Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming for guests.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Skills
- Strong phone etiquette to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
- Proven experience in guest services with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Familiarity with night audit procedures and financial reconciliation processes.
