JOB SUMMARY:
A Cook's main responsibility will be understanding the food philosophy of PPMG while preparing each menu item efficiently and accurately to recipe. They will also be held responsible to maintain a clean and well stocked work area while performing their job duties
Essential Functions of the Job
Must be willing and able to:
· Read and execute all PPMG recipes, including all carry out or catering orders
· Maintain standard of plate presentations
· Is aware of recipe weights and measures
· Follows Food Safety and Sanitation practices
· Follows safe knife handling skills
· Reads and communicates in basic English language
· Properly stores and handles all products
· Is able to check inventory when needed
· Is aware of proper temperature control and makes the manager aware of any unsafe issues that may arise
· Is able to properly label and day dot all product as required by food safety standards
· Is aware of how to operate and maintain all equipment properly
- Maintain a clean and orderly dining room, drink station and bathroom areas
Abilities and Physical Requirements Needed
Must be able to:
· Maintain a well -manicured appearance and persona that reflects the restaurant
· Follow supervisor’s instructions
· Perform calmly and effectively under stressful conditions
· Maintain a clean and orderly work area throughout shift and leave it ready for the following shift
· Meet schedule requirements punctually
· Have a courteous, pleasant and friendly persona with the guests
· Respond to the needs of difficult guests with patience and courtesy
· Accept constructive criticism and adjust/change behavior based on this feedback
· Stand for long periods of time, from 5 – 10 hours
· Move safely throughout all areas of the restaurant
· Work amidst noise in confined crowded space
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of required items and equipment needed to perform job duties
· Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the English language
· Be able to multi-task effectively
Qualifications

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
