Schedule for Roanake/Salem: Monday - Friday 7:00am to 8:30 hospital rounds, Thursdays 9:00am to 5:30 office location. Internal Medicine
Schedule for Blacksburg: Tuesday, Wednesday 9:00am to 5:00pm, Thursday 10:00am to 12:00pm office location. General Surgery

One-on-one time with physicians and other healthcare providers.
Paid training that provides in-depth knowledge of HPI documentation, EMR systems, medical terminology, disease processes, procedures, medications, medical decision making, and more.
Specialties you can work with: Primary Care (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics), Surgical Specialties (Orthopedic, General, Breast, Urology, Dermatology), Medical Specialties (Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary, Radiation Oncology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Management).
Basic qualifications:
Consistent availability
Reliable transportation
Typing test score of 60+ WPM
Passion for the medical field
Strong and professional written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
Responsibilities:
Scribe in real-time while accompanying physician during clinic and Hospital rounds, documenting patient information into the EMR (history, chief complaint, review of systems, physical exam, assessment and plan).
Input orders as directed by the provider including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
Handle any and all patient information with the utmost compliance to HIPAA regulations.
Communicate any provider?s schedule changes to the client services team.

Compensation:
Hourly rate of $13-16 per hour based on experience and location
Paid training
Mileage reimbursements, as needed
Bi-weekly direct deposit
Paid holidays, if applicable
