The primary responsibility of this position is the treatment and care of patients in both the in-patient and out-patient setting primarily at Tampa General Hospital and the James A. Haley VA Hospital and the Morsani Center for Advanced Healthcare, north campus. Will participate in department, trauma, and ER call schedule. Will see patients with and without residents and/or medical students.
Includes the assignment of 1 or more activities related to the operation of the department to include Medical Director, Billing Integrity Officer, Program Director for the residency program, etc. Incumbent will e expected to participate on practice related committees as necessary.
Will instruct residents and medical students in both the in-patient and out-patient setting. Will lecture at resident conferences. Will participate in physical diagnosis, head & neck cancer screenings, and a variety of instructional labs.
Will participate in faculty committees, projects, etc. As directed by the chairperson. Where indicated, will provide other services to the University, Hospital(s), and Community at large and as directed.
Minimal research requirements.
Requires M.D. and BC/BE in Otolaryngology. Specialty in Laryngology. Eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida medical license is a must. Must have completed residency.
Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
