Role Overview
As Operations Lead in Coupang’s Global Government Affairs office, you will drive project management on a range of advocacy initiatives, undertake research as assigned, coordinate and execute strategic programs, oversee office management and policy, and work closely with senior executives located in Washington DC to support the success of the organization. This role will also manage budget planning, procurement matters, and meeting and travel arrangements as well as expenses. The ideal candidate will be an organized self-starter that ruthlessly prioritizes across multiple objectives, exercises sound judgement, and works with attention to both detail and the big picture. The candidate will need to be able to successfully operate with limited direction and be capable of working across organizations and with a range of corporate functions.

What You Will Do
Prepare meeting briefs and related analyses
Undertake research and writing on policies and issues
Drive and manage strategic projects for the Global Government Affairs team
Drive significant process improvement on team initiatives, playing project leader role. Duties will include: moving ideas to execution plans during meetings and in between, systematically manage/update shared team information and resources on portals
Office management responsibilities will include vendor and contractor management and establishing office policies
Maintain the office budget plan and execution, collaborating closely with the finance and procurement teams
Manage office procurement and expenses
Partner with Vice President-level executives on scheduling and travel matters, coordinating across the company's international locations, and third-party partners.
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
- Focused problem solver with a positive, get-it-done attitude.
- Strong communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to simplify detailed projects and substance and capacity to work with different international time zones, as needed.
- Ability to work across functions and entities (both internal & external).
- Proven ability to deliver results in fast-paced, goal-oriented, and ever-changing environments.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with similar sets of responsibilities.

- Demonstrated ability to drive collaboration and execution on high-stakes projects, organize, multi-task, and problem solve while managing competing priorities and commitments to deadlines.

Pay & Benefits:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation.The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $212,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
