Operations Specialist
Basic Functions:
This position will work effectively via phone and in person with internal and external customers, while ensuring accuracy, promptness and excellent customer service.
Essential Duties:
- Maintain designated ledger accounts for the bank including making entries and balancing ledgers with source documents as well as account reconciliation.
- Process exception items.
- Assist with item processing/preparation of cash letters.
- Possess knowledge of all bank deposit products and features.
- May assist with:
- Bond accounting
- Accounts payable
- ICS/CDARS processing
- Business Online Banking customers
- Ability to make on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with bank exposure to loss or fraud.
- Work independently and exercise good judgment.
- Complete bookkeeping functions which meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently to meet objectives and goals.
- Participate in educational and training sessions when appropriate.
- Participate in cross-training programs.
- Knowledge of various federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Regulation E and CC, and bookkeeping roles and responsibilities relating to each act.
- Exercise sound judgment, accurately identify and pro-actively resolve potential problems.
