Overview
We are (once again)seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our great team! The ideal candidate will have a happy disposition as well as a passion for eye care and assisting elderly patients in clinical settings.
Note: We keep losing our techs to pursue nursing or medical school. We need someone who is dedicated to being an Ophthalmic tech and additionally wants to learn to be an Ophthalmology Surgery and Sterile Tech.
We have a lovely office, happy staff, and offer flexibility with your schedule.
Duties
- Conduct preliminary patient screenings
- Assist ophthalmologists with patient care
- Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Warm, friendly, and happy personality that gets along well with others
- Not pursuing other medical careers or schooling
- Experience working in a medical clinic or ophthalmic setting is preferred
- Knowledge of Electronic Health Records systems
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and colleagues
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
