Full-Time Optical Assistant / Optician
Location: Gillette Optometric Clinic – 609 4-J Court, Gillette, WY
Gillette Optometric Clinic is looking for a full-time Optical Assistant / Optician to join our friendly, patient-focused team. If you’re passionate about helping people and enjoy working in a professional, fast-paced setting, we’d love to meet you!
What You’ll Do:
- Help patients select frames and lenses that match their prescription, lifestyle, and style
- Educate patients about lens options, coatings, and eyewear care
- Place and manage eyewear orders
- Perform adjustments, fittings, and minor repairs
- Support doctors and team members to ensure excellent patient care
- Keep the optical area clean, organized, and welcoming
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous optical or retail experience is a plus (but not required – we’ll train the right person!)
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent required
