Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and helpful person to be trained as an Optician. Yes, we provide ALL training! The job entails for assisting patients with their eyewear needs, including fitting and dispensing glasses and contact lenses. The Optician will work closely with both patients and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal vision care. This role is a fun balance of fashion, people skills, and hands on adjusting of glasses, working with people of all ages in a positive work environment!
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in selecting eyewear that meets their vision needs and personal style.
- Accurately fit and adjust glasses and contact lenses for comfort and proper alignment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of optical products, including lenses, frames, and contact lenses.
- Manage patient records, including medical history and prescriptions, ensuring accuracy in the medical records system.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and optometrists to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage instructions.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, processing orders, and managing inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
