Job Summary:
Join our team at Ritzinger Optometric Clinic as an Optician/Optometric Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and assisting patients with their optical needs. We are seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for sales and a strong background in optical and/or optometric assisting. We are currently looking to hire for both our clinic and optical department at this time. Several years' optical experience appreciated but not required.
Responsibilities:
-Assist in administrative and clinical duties such as preliminary testing and making appointments
- Greet customers warmly and exceed their needs
- Assist customers in selecting eyewear frames that complement their style and prescription
- Provide accurate information about lens options, coatings, and treatments
- Process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Utilize optical terminology to address patient inquiries
- Collaborate with the optical team to ensure smooth operations in the clinic
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor to enhance the shopping experience
- Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends to offer informed recommendations
Requirements:
- Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in an optical or medical setting
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures related to optical products
- Familiarity with senior care needs and considerations for eyewear selection
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Be able to work well on a team but be self-motivated while working alone
