Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Optometric Staff to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support within our optometry practice. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient intake, answering phones, conducting preliminary tests, and/or eyeglass selection. The ideal candidate will have be a quick learner, comfortable with selling and a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
- Helping to verify insurance eligibility
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure the clinic environment is clean and follows aseptic techniques.
- Help pre-test patients for the doctor
- Provide optical assistance, including frame selection and fitting for patients.
- Support front desk operations, including scheduling appointments.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred, particularly in optometry, but training is available.
- Familiarity with retail sales practices and retail math is advantageous.
- Experience with EMR systems; proficiency in RevolutionEHR is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Aseptic technique knowledge is preferred for maintaining clinic standards.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 24 per week
