We are looking for a Temporary, full-time Optometric Assistant.
With over 40 years of experience, our practice has an excellent reputation and has been the leader and the top-rated eye care office in the Bay Area in the field of comprehensive vision care, myopia control, and dry eye disease.

This position is a full-time, temporary work assignment from August 4 to November 26, 2025.
General Summary of Duties:
- Assist optometrists during patient examinations by preparing the examination room and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for use.
- Collect and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other pertinent information while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient flow efficiently, ensuring timely appointments and minimal wait times.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with clinic protocols.
- Educate patients
Preferred Background:
- Prior optometric experience is a big plus.
- Strong communication skills to build rapport with patients
- Positive attitude, good judgment and sound decision-making ability
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a clinic or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical record management.
- Strong grasp of medical terminology related to optometry and ophthalmology.
- Basic knowledge of physiology as it pertains to eye health is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment.
