We’re on the lookout for a detail-oriented and dependable Optometric Technician to join our small, dedicated team at Optometry Care! Our clinic is located inside the Exchange at Nellis Air Force Base, where we provide full-scope primary eye care to a wonderful military community.
This is a long-term position with opportunities to grow.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Performing pre-testing and gathering patient history
- Assisting the doctor with eye exams and diagnostic testing (like visual fields, OCT, fundus photos, etc.)
- Training patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
- Maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Supporting smooth patient flow throughout the day
- Helping with front desk tasks as needed (check-in, scheduling, phones)
Schedule:
- 5 days a week, including some Saturdays
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has at least 1–2 years of experience as an optometric technician (preferred, but will train the right candidate)
- Is comfortable using optometric equipment and exam software
- Is a strong communicator with a passion for patient care
- Is organized, reliable, and a team player
- Has a high school diploma (or equivalent)
