Overview
Purpose of the position is to lead the order intake process. This includes processing the order in all systems, coordinating the production and ship dates with manufacturing scheduling, and communicating order status and scheduled manufacturing dates with customers.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Enters orders received through email into QuickBooks, manufacturing software and other software used to manage workflow of the order through manufacturing.
· Develops and sends order acknowledgements to dealers/customers. Communicates any changes to the original acknowledgement date to dealers/customers.
· Leads regular order status meetings with supply chain and manufacturing to ensure customer delivery dates are met.
· Acts as first point of contact for dealers and customers relative to quoting, product questions and ordering.
· Trains Corporate customer service team members.
· Supports quoting when dealer or customer is unable to complete the quote in PQM.
· Required to work closely with many different departments (i.e Sales, Manufacturing, Product Planning, Finance, Logistics) to assure order is manufactured within the promised lead time.
· Drive continuous improvement in the order entry and scheduling processes.
· Translate plans into quotes and coordinate shop drawing acquisition. Works through revisions to shop drawing with dealers.
· Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
