We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the orthodontist during various procedures. Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for use during treatments.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical area to uphold infection control standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive patient experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a focus on orthodontics being a plus.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems such as Epic is advantageous.
- Knowledge of anatomy and general dentistry principles is essential.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, including X-Ray operations, is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.

Pay: $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
