Your Impact
As a Clinical Assistant, you will:
- Optimize day-to-day clinic operations to ensure smooth processes and excellent patient care.
- Communicate with patients and their families, providing guidance and support.
- Document health information accurately in our electronic health record system.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Assist practitioners with patient care under direct supervision.
- Prepare rooms and patients for treatment, make and modify molds, perform technical fabrication, and complete administrative tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care provided.
- Perform selected patient care procedures, ensuring alignment with the supervising certified clinician’s directions.
- Provide patient follow-up for selected orthotic and prosthetic patients.
- Handle shipping, receiving, inventory monitoring, and clerical tasks.
- Contact vendors to order prosthetic and orthotic materials.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including compliance with Medicare, OSHA, and blood-borne pathogen requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or related field.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Experience
- Allied Health Professional background (PTA, OTA, Athletic Trainer, etc.) OR
- ABC Certified Orthotic/Prosthetic Assistant Certification
