Job Overview
As a 1099 Account Manager for our Black Funnel Marketing , you are responsible for driving new business, managing client relationships, and acting as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts. This role requires independent lead generation, proactive sales efforts, and oversight of all client interactions to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships. You will work remotely and manage your own schedule, with compensation based on performance and sales results.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect new business opportunities via cold calling, networking, events, and digital outreach.
- Present and sell marketing company products and services to potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, acting as the lead point of contact for all matters related to assigned accounts.
- Develop tailored marketing/sales proposals and solutions to meet clients' needs.
- Onboard new clients and develop account management plans.
- Oversee the execution of marketing and advertising campaigns, ensuring deliverables are on-time and meet quality standards.
- Utilize CRM software to track leads, sales activity, and account status.
- Report sales progress, pipeline updates, and key metrics to leadership.
- Manage renewals, upsell, and cross-sell company services to existing clients to maximize revenue.
- Resolve conflicts and provide timely solutions to client concerns.
- Monitor trends, competitor activity, and industry best practices to inform selling and client strategies.
- Meet or exceed individual sales and revenue targets, aligning efforts with company objectives.
- Maintain compliance with all contract terms as specified in independent contractor agreements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the marketing or advertising industry.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, preferably in a commission-based environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts.
- Comfortable operating as an independent contractor and managing your schedule.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of modern marketing principles.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field is preferred.
