POSITION: Delivery Driver - Over the Road
SHIFT: Monday - Friday variable shifts (OT as required)
PAY RATE: $22.00 - $27.00+ per hour (DOE) + Full Benefit Package
LOCATION: Minnkota Windows West Fargo, ND
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Over the road (OTR) Delivery Driver for our window company, you will be responsible for safely delivering windows and related products to various locations across a specified region.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Embrace and demonstrate the qualities of the Minnkota Windows Game Changer definition.
- Learning about different window models, features, and options.
- Answering basic customer questions with support from more experienced team members.
- Operate company-owned trucks to transport windows, frames, and glass products to local dealers, lumberyards and job sites throughout our sales region.
- Routes include overnight stays ranging from 1-3 nights a week as needed.
- Use of electronic logging devices.
- Ability to read and understand paperwork.
- Assist in loading and unloading products, ensuring all items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Follow pre-determined routes and schedules while adapting to traffic, weather, or customer needs.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers during deliveries.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and minor maintenance (e.g., fluid checks tire pressure), ensuring the truck remains in proper working condition and report on any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures, including hours of service (HOS) rules.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and inspection records using electronic logging devices (ELDs) or paper logs as required.
- Address and report any delivery or product issues, delays, or discrepancies to dispatch or management.
- Must maintain a clean driving record.
- Prompt and dependable attendance.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license and DOT medical card required.
- Previous experience driving a truck is preferred.
- Clean driving history with no major violations in the past 3 years.
Specific Requirements for Levels 2 and 3
Delivery Driver 2:
In addition to Level 1 requirements:
- Mentor Level 1 drivers by providing guidance on delivery procedures and safety practices.
- Guidance on best practices, loading/unloading procedures, customer interaction, and time management.
- Knowledgeable about window products, materials, and their applications.
- Provide informed advice to customers about window products and solutions with minimal assistance from more experienced team members.
- Handle more complex customer queries or issues related to products occasionally requiring guidance from more experienced team members.
- Interact with the sales and quality team regarding customer feedback on product or service.
Delivery Driver 3:
In addition to Level 2 requirements:
- Primary trainer of Level 1 and 2 Drivers by providing guidance on delivery procedures and safety practices.
- Guidance on best practices, loading/unloading procedures, customer interaction, and time management.
- Conducts on the road training and supplies the driver road approval authorization.
- Product expert with the ability to provide advice to customers about window products and solutions.
- In-depth expertise in all window products/types and materials, including advanced knowledge of product features and their uses.
- Able to independently handle complex customer questions or issues related to products.
- Consistently communicate with sales and quality team members to discuss customer satisfaction or concerns related to product or services.
