Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a strong understanding of color theory and construction practices. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople and must be comfortable working on construction sites.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
- Estimate materials needed for projects and maintain an inventory of supplies.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Perform maintenance tasks including caulking, plastering, and drywall repair as necessary.
- Execute restoration and renovation tasks on residential and commercial properties.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various environments.
Skills
- Experience in residential painting, commercial painting, and industrial painting techniques.
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and practices.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively.
- Skills in plastering, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and concrete finishing are advantageous.
- Experience with caulking, stucco application, masonry work, and maintenance person tasks is preferred.
- Knowledge of fixture installation processes and renovation techniques is beneficial.
- Spraying skills are required.
