Crew Leader
Position Overview:The Crew Leader will oversee the painting team on job sites, ensuring high-quality workmanship, adherence to project schedules, and strict maintenance of safety protocols. As the primary liaison between the crew and management, the Crew Leader will be responsible for guiding the team’s day-to-day operations, managing resources, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and motivate the crew, ensuring appropriate task delegation, efficiency, and professionalism among all team members.
- Project Oversight: Manage daily operations of painting projects, ensuring timely completion within budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations. Responsibilities include job site setup (drop cloths, taping, etc.), daily cleanup, and final project cleanup.
- Quality Control: Inspect work for quality and accuracy, ensuring proper surface preparation and correct application of paints and finishes to meet company standards.
- Client Communication: Act as the on-site point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and providing regular project updates.
- Material Management: Oversee the procurement and efficient use of materials, ensuring proper quantities and tools are available for each job site.
- Safety Enforcement: Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety regulations, ensuring the use of PPE, and following protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Training & Development: Provide on-the-job training for laborers and less experienced painters to enhance their skills and performance.
- Reporting: Document project progress, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues encountered. Submit detailed reports to management, including COR sheet management with the Owner.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of painting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety protocols.
- Ability to interpret project specifications and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
