Estate Planning, Administration, and Real Estate Paralegal

We are proud to serve individuals and families across a wide range of legal needs, with a primary focus on estate and trust planning, estate and trust administration, elder law, Medicaid planning, guardianships, and real estate. Our team is dedicated to providing top-tier legal counsel with compassion, dignity, and without judgment.
Key Responsibilities
Estate Administration:
- Prepare and file probate and administration petitions, notices, and supporting documents with the Surrogate’s Court.
- Communicate professionally with clients, beneficiaries, court personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with inventorying and valuing estate assets, including real property, personal effects, and financial accounts.
- Coordinate filings with relevant government agencies and manage estate timelines and deadlines.
Estate Planning:
- Assist attorneys in drafting and assembling estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, etc.).
- Participate in client meetings and help gather information needed to tailor estate plans.
- Coordinate and attend document signing appointments; ensure compliance with execution formalities.
- Maintain and update client files, track key milestones, and follow up with clients as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Certificate preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience in estate planning and estate administration strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience with Clio or other case management software a plus.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong client service skills and a results-oriented mindset.
- A sense of humor and a can-do attitude are essential!
