Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, primarily children, to and from designated locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to manage behavior effectively while on the road. A passion for working with children and ensuring their safety is essential.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport children to and from school or designated locations in a timely manner.
- Educate passengers on safety protocols and proper behavior during transit.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding transportation schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger needs and concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle, performing regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Document daily routes, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during transit.
- Assist with behavior management to ensure a safe and respectful environment within the vehicle.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in school bus driving or similar transportation roles is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Ability to educate children about safety practices while traveling.
- Previous experience in childcare or related fields is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to write reports or documentation as needed for daily operations.
- Must pass background checks as required by local regulations.
