The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Seasonal Park Maintenance Workers to help us maintain Pine Grove Furnace State Park. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker, you will provide manual work in the construction and maintenance of Pine Grove Furnace State Park. You will perform maintenance work alone or with the assistance of a skilled worker. Your duties will include making repairs to buildings and facilities, assisting in the maintenance and cleaning of vehicles and equipment, and building simple forms for cement work. You can expect to maintain the grounds by mowing, cutting weeds, moving materials into dump trucks, and planting trees and shrubs. Additionally, you will be responsible for general housekeeping at the park including cleaning and supplying bathrooms, disposing of trash, and making minor repairs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Seasonal full-time employment with no benefits, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours and days will vary, including weekends and holidays.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
