Ivy Tech Community College – Bloomington is seeking a dedicated Lab Aide to provide hands-on support for a student with a disability in the Culinary Arts Lab. This role ensures the student has full access to the course by assisting with physical tasks during instructional labs.

- Schedule: Mondays & Tuesdays | 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Hourly Wage: $15
Major Responsibilities
- Assist the student with physical and fine motor tasks (e.g., carrying up to 40 lbs., operating culinary equipment, stirring, kneading, etc.)
- Safely manipulate culinary utensils and tools as directed
- Support the student with basic cleaning and kitchen practices
- Follow the student’s instructions and act as the student’s hands and arms during lab activities
- Maintain a professional, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Current ServSafe certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions effectively
- Professional appearance, demeanor, and personal hygiene
- Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team
