Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team for this unique job. The days are a Monday afternoon, Tuesday 8a-7p and Wed 8a-7p position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting a mobile trailer and mobile kitchen safely and efficiently as well as maintaining units. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, heavy equipment operation, and mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of trailers.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Assist in operations as needed, including inventory management and picking up deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and interactions with clients.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in pulling ,hitching, driving large trailers.
- Previous experience with homeless population and food service
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Bilingual a plus.
- Camping/RV experience, as mobile units operate similar to RV units ie filling propane tanks, water tanks, generators and waste tanks.
