Job Description
Join the Cocoon team as a Facilities Associate and help create a welcoming, safe, and pristine environment for our members and guests. We're looking for a customer-focused, hardworking, and reliable individual who can multitask and meet deadlines.
Main Duties:
Live Our Values: Support Cocoon’s mission to nurture families and build community.
Maintain Our Space: Keep our facility spotless with sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, sanitizing, and dishwashing.
Furniture Setup: Assemble and move furniture as needed.
Daily Checks: Regularly inspect bathrooms, kitchen, cafeteria, play space, lounge areas, and classrooms.
Event Assistance: Help with event setup and cleanup.
Support the Team: Work with the Management Team, Events Team, and Educators to foster a warm, collaborative environment.
Enhance Guest Experience: Ensure every guest has an exceptional experience.
Manage Inventory: Perform weekly checks on cleaning supplies and consumables.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
- Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Multitasking Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Handyman Skills: Basic skills for assembling furniture and performing minor repairs.
- Inventory Management: Proficiency in managing and ordering supplies.
- Customer-Focused: Dedicated to providing excellent service and creating a positive environment.
- Reliable: Punctual, dependable, and committed to high standards.
- Team Player: Collaborates effectively with colleagues and supports team goals.
- Communication: Good communication skills to interact with guests, members, and team members.
- Physical Capability: Able to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures.
- Cleaning Techniques: Understanding of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning products and equipment.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in facilities management or maintenance preferred. First aid and CPR certification is a plus.
