We’re looking to hire one person with cleaning experience to work 2 hours daily after 5 PM, Monday through Sunday, to clean a clinic. Reliability and attention to detail are key.
Looking for janitorial help in the Rockford area on a part time basis per each location for cleaning. Below is an outline of expectations for what we are looking for.
We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a General Cleaner in the Greater Rockford, IL Area. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, flexible and has reliable transportation. A General Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing various spaces which could include offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, medical exam rooms, locker rooms, and public areas.
Responsibilities
- Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
- Gather and empty trash
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Make adjustments and minor repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and equipment
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment & more
- Flexible in schedule to work 1-5 nights a week or day depending on job offered. Also willing to work on weekends as required of any job hired for. Availability to be on call for last minute cleaning opportunities outside of the hired position.

Skills
- Proven working experience as a cleaner is a plus
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
- Working entire shift walking & bending over as necessary to complete cleaning tasks
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Integrity
- Great communication. Letting your supervisor know what time you will be onsite to clean. Letting your supervisor know immediately if you cannot clean that day so someone can fill in.
Other
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident and able to provide documentation
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have a flexible schedule and reliable transportation
- Available to work Monday through Friday, either day or night shifts (schedule will be provided in advance)
- Experience with floor scrubbing/cleaning machines is additionally beneficial.
