Part-time weekend nanny required for a lower Manhattan family with three young children (ages 6 and under) beginning ASAP. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for providing care to the children (including meals), tidying, cleaning and child related laundry.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 10-15 years of experience caring for multiple children, have excellent attention to detail and be a discreet and professional caregiver. This is a fast-paced and demanding role with high expectations; proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and having a team oriented mindset while remaining calm and collected is essential in this role. Adhering to and helping to facilitate planned schedules as well as partnering alongside other caregivers, house staff members, and parents is expected. The family values someone who is extremely motivated, warm and upbeat, enjoys being active, and takes initiative with the children and around the house. This is a live-out position, with the flexibility, interest and ability to travel domestically and internationally as well as assist with occasional overnights and weekdays as needed. The family travels frequently to their home upstate (on weekends) and live-in would be required.

Start date: ASAP
Days/times: Family open to guaranteeing up to 15-20 hrs a week across Saturday and Sunday (or 25-30 hours Friday-Sunday).

- Authorization to work in the US
- A minimum of 10 years experience as a full-time nanny working in private homes
- A well-suited demeanor for working with children pre-school and school aged children
- A schedule with flexibility for evening coverage, interest to travel with family domestically, internationally (and stay overnights/late as needed).
- Experience with educational milestones (teaching background would be ideal)
- Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence.
- Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
- Readiness to help with light housekeeping and all tasks related to childcare (meal prep, cooking, organizing, laundry, etc.).
- Interest in working in a partnership/alongside with other caregivers and Mother in the home
- Demonstrates professionalism and discretion at all times, reflecting the high standards and values prioritized by the family
- Fluency in both oral and written English
