A friendly family in West Newton is looking for a professional and reliable Nanny/Household Manager for their 4-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, CPR/First Aid certified, up to date on all vaccines, and have a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience. The oldest child has allergies and sensitivities, so candidates must be comfortable managing these and respectful of the family’s fragrance-free home. Due to these considerations, they prefer a nanny who does not own a cat. Responsibilities include child-related tasks such as meal prep (kids’ breakfasts and lunches), school/camp drop-offs and pick-ups, and planning age-appropriate activities, as well as household tasks like family laundry, grocery shopping, and loading and unloading the dishwasher. Mom works from home at times in a separate space, and the nanny will have autonomy throughout the day. Candidates should be organized self‑starters who are responsible, calm, punctual, and excited to help the children develop both life skills and academic skills. Experience with Montessori is a plus. The family would love a nanny who is open to traveling with them domestically a few times per year.
