Key Process Partners is hiring a Personal Assistant to help the owner of the company with her work-life balance. Jen lives in Highland, Maryland and has three dogs that are very sweet and energetic. Jen is looking for assistance around the house with maintaining a clean and organized home, with responsibilities such as preparing meals, laundry, vacuuming, washing dishes, and walking the dogs. In addition, dogsitting/housesitting while Jen travels on business, up to 7-10 nights a month.
This job would be in person, in Highland Maryland (in Howard County near Columbia). It is a part-time job approximately 20-25 hours a week. The schedule would be 11am-6pm Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday with possible additional hours as needed (generally Monday through Friday 2p-5p). There may be occasional evening work as well, which would be scheduled/requested in advance.
Target start date is September 8, 2025.
About Jen: Jen is a female in her early 40s who runs a business advisory consulting company. She has been a business executive for 10+ years and enjoys working with people. She works from home but often has meetings or events during the day or evening.
Jen is vegetarian and eats a primarily whole food plant based (WFPB) diet, which consists of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and legumes (chickpeas, beans, lentils, and tofu). Menus will be provided and ingredients available for meal preparation, as well as recipes and directions on how to prepare. You may occasionally be asked to grocery shop for a few ingredients and use your company credit card to make the purchase, using the ingredients to prepare meals.
Job duties would include:
- Dog care - Feeding the dogs, taking them on short walks, playing with them, etc.
- Staying overnight while Jen is out of town
- Light household cleaning - vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, taking out the trash, dusting, laundry, making beds, loading and unloading the dishwasher, handwash items, etc. (She has an outside cleaning service as well for deeper cleaning)
- Errands (grocery shopping, taking items to the post office, picking up dry cleaning, etc.). Driving would be in her vehicle, or it would be reimbursed at the federal standard mileage rate if you're driving your car.
- Preparing meals (vegetarian eating a whole foods plant based diet) - She has a large, fully-stocked kitchen with many appliances
- Occasionally driving her to and from meetings or events within the Baltimore-Washington DC metropolitan region (in her vehicle)
- Managing car maintenance and cleaning, getting gas etc.
- Projects around the home like home inventory, scanning pictures and documents, filing, going through items to donate, etc.
- Keeping the home decluttered by making sure everything is put away after use

Your personality and communication skills are more relevant than your professional experience. Since you will be spending a lot of time together, the in-person interview will be a good opportunity for you to determine if she is a good fit for you as well.

Requirements
Required Skills:
- Proficiency with an iPhone and Windows computer
- Basic experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, OneNote, and OneDrive)
- Able to use kitchen appliances such as Instant Pot and Stand Mixer
- Able to read and follow a recipe, and adjust it for serving sizes such as doubling or halving a recipe
- An understanding of dog behavior and rewards-based dog training (no aversives)
- An understanding of, or ability to learn about, whole food plant based nutrition
- Ability to select produce based on appropriate ripeness and expiration dates
- Ability to follow washing and cleaning instructions
- Valid driver's license and comfortable driving Jen's vehicle (small SUV)
- Have your own vehicle available for running errands (mileage reimbursed)
- Available to work weekends, some afternoons and evenings, and occasional minor holidays
- Schedules will be determined a minimum of one week in advance though there may be occasional last-minute requests
Preferred skills:
- Proficiency with Notion software
- Ability to scan receipts and documents and save them digitally
- Experience with a company credit card and saving receipts and categorizing expenses
