About the FamilyA warm and welcoming family in Phoenixville, PA is looking for a reliable and experienced caregiver to support their three children—one of whom has Down syndrome. They’re seeking someone who can provide consistent afternoon care and take on meaningful family assistant responsibilities to help their home run smoothly. The ideal candidate is calm, proactive, and confident working with children with developmental differences.
Schedule & CompensationStart Date: August 25, 2025
Days/Hours: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $28-$33/hour
Additional Benefits: Mileage reimbursement for errands and transportation
About the RoleThe afternoon will include school pickups, snack time, homework help, and playtime. Two children will need to be picked up from school around 3:00 PM, and the third child will arrive home by school bus around 4:00 PM. One afternoon a week may also involve transporting a child to a speech therapy appointment.
Before pickup, the caregiver will help with light family assistant duties such as grocery shopping, errands, family laundry, light meal prep, and tidying shared spaces. They’ll also keep an eye on supplies and help with simple household coordination, like restocking or scheduling. Letting the family dog out into the fenced yard may also be part of the daily routine.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, is confident in managing multiple children, and wants to become a steady support to a kind and appreciative family.
The ideal caregiver has a background in special education, behavioral therapy, or any field focused on neurodiverse individuals. Is CPR/First Aid certified, has a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Willing to obtain a background check and open to a long-term role.

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
