Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts and Service Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing expert advice and support regarding motorcycle services and repairs. This position requires a strong understanding of motorcycle diagnostics, parts familiarization, and effective communication skills to liaise between customers and service technicians.
Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking motorcycle service and support.
- Assess customer needs and provide recommendations for repairs or maintenance based on mechanical knowledge diagnostics.
- Assist with inventory levels, ensuring that necessary parts and supplies are available for service operations.
- Collaborate with technicians to facilitate efficient workflow in the service department, ensuring timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of service transactions, customer interactions, and follow-up communications.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff on best practices in parts/service consultation and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a dealership or automotive service environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles and inventory management practices.
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus.
- Knowledge of equipment repair processes and techniques is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
