Role summary
The firm is hiring two Patent Litigation Associate Attorneys to join their Intellectual Property practice group—one based in Chicago and one in New York. These roles are ideal for attorneys with hands-on experience in PTAB/IPR proceedings, ITC litigation, and source code review. Candidates should bring technical depth, litigation acumen, and a strong academic background.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in complex patent litigation and intellectual property matters
- Lead drafting of pleadings, discovery, and pre-trial motions
- Argue motions and handle court appearances
- Manage litigation in PTAB/IPR, federal district courts, and ITC proceedings
- Conduct source code analysis and work with technical experts
Must-have qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in patent litigation: PTAB/IPR, district court, and/or ITC
- Experience reviewing or analyzing source code in legal contexts
- Recent experience in a major law firm
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic performance
- Law Review and/or Moot Court accolades strongly preferred
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bar Admission: Illinois Bar (for Chicago role)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $235,844.09 - $280,607.93 per year
