Experience with insurance verification, prior authorization, and billing experience strongly preferred!
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
- Provides professional and friendly reception and registration duties.
- Organizes patient flow; keeps physicians and patients on schedule.
- Maintains and documents patient files in a timely and accurate manner.
- Supports billing, patient estimates and time of service collection efforts.
- Obtains prior authorization for Spine Center procedures and surgeries
- Possesses exceptional communication, decision making, organizational, and interpersonal skills and act under direction as well as on their own initiative
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
Skills:
- Exceptional customer service skills required.
- Courtesy, patience and tact when dealing with the public
- Strong computer and typing skills.
- Ability to work at variable workstations in fast paced environment
- Adapt to patient and staff needs for calm, quiet environment
- Well-organized, dependable and flexible
- Must be a team player
Experience:
- Previous experience in insurance verification, patient registration, collections or billing required.
- 5 years customer service experience
- Bilingual highly preferred (English/Spanish).
SALARY RANGE
- $21.23 to $31.22/hour
- Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
