Patient Care Specialist greeting them each visit can brighten their day and aid in their recovery process.The Patient Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for patients within a healthcare setting. This position involves managing patient interactions, providing administrative support, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a background in medical office operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Assist patients with the check-in process, including verifying insurance information and updating medical records.
- Answer patient inquiries regarding services and appointments
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and follow-up appointments.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Stay informed about medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Must demo excellent multi tasking skills
Skills
- Previous experience in a medical office or dental office setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology to facilitate effective communication.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and team members.
- Proficient in general office practices and administrative support functions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. This position is vital in enhancing patient satisfaction and supporting the overall efficiency of the healthcare facility.
