We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist with prior payroll experience. The job requires responsibility for managing the payroll process and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations
Skills
- Enter and upload time from our time-management software to our accounting software
- Payroll job costing accuracy
- Prepare payroll and distribute checks
- Pay and reconcile payroll liabilities and submit reports (401K, Health, Dental, etc)
- Familiarity with financial concepts related to payroll processing.
- Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Human Resources and other departments.
- Proficient in using payroll software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Understanding of and ability to prepare certified payroll and ensure compliance with prevailing wage and Davis Bacon laws
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process payroll for all employees accurately and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations
- Perform account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of payroll data and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee records and updates
- Keep all payroll deadlines
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information related to payroll activities
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulation and best practices to ensure compliances
- Assist A/R with invoicing in between payrolls
- Spanish highly desired
