Payroll Administration:
- Process weekly, by-weekly/monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Request New Tax Identification Numbers for states with new contracts.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries related to payroll.
- Collect, compile, and enter payroll data using appropriate softwaretransfer data from the time keeping system.
- Experience with Union processing and reporting preferred.
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive payroll records.
- Enter garnishments which include IWO's, tax levies, student loans, writ of garnishments, etc.
- Record changes affecting new wages such as exemptions and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records.
- Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
- Identify opportunities for improving payroll and benefits processes.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline operations.
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to accurately reflect employee elections in the Benefit Administration System.
- Track Benefit deductions and adjust accordingly when employees are on leave or miss deductions
