Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy is a multidisciplinary outpatient private practice in need of a licensed Certified Physical Therapist. We are a growing and fast-paced campus that offers Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services in a traditional clinical setting, as well as on our ranch, with the incorporation of the horse as part of a comprehensive evidence-based plan (hippotherapy.)

Essential Functions
Physical Therapist performs assessments and interpretation of evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription and carrying out a treatment plan that supports functional improvement across the lifespan.
- Provide quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determine physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
- Help patient accomplish goals outlined in treatment plan and effective use of therapeutic devices by administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as nonmanual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities and in using assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
- Administer physical therapy treatment by applying physical agents, electrical stimulation, directing treatments given by assistants, and aids.
- Evaluate effects of physical therapy treatments and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress; recommending adjustments and modifications.
- Complete discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences.
- Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs; recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending outpatient or home health follow-up programs.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records, according to the law.
- Maintain patient confidence and protects clinic operations by keeping information confidential, according to the law.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Develop physical therapy staff by providing information; developing and conducting in-service training programs.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Participate effectively as a member of the IEP team, but providing these services as part of a comprehensive education plan and in accordance with the written IEP.
The compensation range varies based on experience, $74,880- $91,520.

Requirements
- Possess a valid California PT License
- Pediatric experience a plus!
- Clear Livescan
- TB Test
- CPR Healthcare Provider Card
- Availability until 7pm during weekdays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Regularly stand, bend, stoop, lift and move intermittently during shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
