Position 1: Pediatric Speech Pathologist
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Pathologist to join our team. As a Pediatric Speech Pathologist at Viva Therapy, you will assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for children with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with families, caregivers, and our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote each child's communication success.. Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in children.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evaluations.
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions for children with speech and language disorders.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to support the child’s development.
- Maintain detailed progress notes and provide regular updates on treatment goals.
- Participate in family education and support programs to improve at-home therapy strategies.
- Stay current with the latest developments in pediatric speech-language pathology.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- ASHA Certification (or eligibility) preferred.
- Previous experience in pediatric speech therapy is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to working with children and families.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
Position 2: Pediatric Speech Pathologist Assistant
Overview
As a Pediatric Speech Pathologist Assistant, you will support our speech-language pathologists by implementing therapy programs and assisting children with communication and language skills. You will play a key role in delivering direct therapy under the supervision of a licensed Speech Pathologist, and help children achieve their therapy goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist with implementing treatment plans as developed by the Speech Pathologist.
- Work directly with children to support speech and language development.
- Document progress and report back to the supervising Speech Pathologist.
- Assist with therapy materials preparation and organizing sessions.
- Provide family support and follow up on therapy recommendations as directed by the Speech Pathologist.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certification in Speech Pathology Assistant or a related field.
- State licensure as a Speech Pathology Assistant (or eligibility).
- Experience in pediatric therapy settings is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and able to engage with children effectively.
