Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Peer Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and possess a strong background in behavioral health and crisis intervention.
Duties:
- Provide peer support services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges
- Utilize crisis management techniques to assist individuals in distress
- Collaborate with healthcare systems to advocate for clients' needs
- Mentor individuals in developing coping strategies and self-advocacy skills
- Offer addiction counseling and support for individuals struggling with substance use
- Conduct motivational interviewing sessions to inspire positive change
- Work closely with social workers and mental health counselors to provide comprehensive care
Experience:
- Certification as a Peer Specialist
- Proficiency in behavioral health practices and crisis intervention strategies
- Strong background in mentoring and supporting individuals with alcohol and drug abuse
- Experience in addiction counseling and motivational interviewing techniques
