Job Description:
The Peer Support Specialist will perform only the duties of a Peer Support Specialist and can carry a rotational caseload when required to address one on one support needs, providing support for day-to-day problem-solving related to normalization and reintegration into the community.

Job Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years old.
- Must possess High School diploma.
- Strong verbal and written skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Windows environment and/or Electronic Health Records systems.
- Ability to provide culturally sensitive services.
- Must be receiving or have received behavioral health services or have had substance abuse treatment.
- Peer Support Specialist Certification (or able to meet requirements within 6 months of hire).
- Must be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding of human behavior and counseling theories.
- Must possess reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
- Must have or able to obtain valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Must maintain current BLS certification.
- Must receive the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine within the first week of hire date, and the second dose within 8 weeks of hire date
- TB Screening Record and PPD/QuantiFERON/Chest x-ray as applicable upon hire
- Vaccinations/Titer’s Test/Declination Form: Flu, Hep B, MMR, Tdap, Varicella
