Job Description Summary
THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION WORKING WITH THE PENN NURSING INNOVATION TEAM AND REPORTING DIRECTLY TO THE DIRECTOR OF INNOVATION. THE INNOVATION PROJECT MANAGER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DETAILED MANAGEMENT AND DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS OF A PENN NURSING INNOVATION PROGRAM FROM PRE-PLANNING TO COMMENCEMENT TO CLOSEOUT. THE PROGRAM IS A HYBRID FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM TAKING PLACE OVER 12 MONTHS. THERE ARE MULTIPLE COHORTS OVERLAPPING AT CERTAIN TIMES PER YEAR. THE PROGRAM MANAGER WILL EXECUTE ALL ASPECTS OF THE PROGRAM INCLUDING MANAGING THE APPLICATION PROCESS, LOGISTICS OF ONSITE AND VIRTUAL PROGRAMING, TRAVEL, FINANCIAL REIMBURSEMENTS, COORDINATING PARTICIPANTS AND SPEAKERS, CULTIVATING RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE PARTICIPANTS AND FUNDER, AND ALL OTHER ASPECTS OF THE PROGRAM. THE PROJECT MANAGER WILL ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR BUDGET OVERSIGHT, AS WELL AS FINANCIAL AND PROGRAM STATUS REPORTING TO THE DIRECTOR OF INNOVATION.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provides daily operations management of research projects working in collaboration with the Principal Investigator and project teams; supervises staff, plans meetings and manages budget
  • Develops and manages systems for data collection, quality control and compliance
  • Oversees and manages data for the research projects
  • Prepares financial, regulatory and technical progress reports; drafts articles for publication; prepares data summaries
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, and 5 to 7 years or Master of Science, Master of Arts, and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
