West Coast Trial Lawyers, a leading personal injury law firm based in Downtown Los Angeles, is currently seeking a Lien Negotiator to join our growing Personal Injury Department. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, review, and organize medical bills to ensure accurate and complete documentation for each client file
- Negotiate a wide range of liens, including but not limited to:
- Medical provider liens
- Attorney fee liens
- Subrogation liens
- Child support liens
- Request, track, and obtain necessary documentation from medical providers and third parties to support lien resolution
- Draft professional lien reduction requests and correspondence to secure favorable outcomes for clients
- Coordinate and manage submission of lien-related documents to Medi-Cal, Medicare, Kaiser (via The Rawlings Company), and other relevant entities
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients regarding the status of their settlements and lien resolutions
- Collaborate with attorneys and case managers to ensure timely and efficient resolution of all lien-related matters
- Support general case management duties as needed to maintain workflow and case progress
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Strong computer literacy
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Clear and professional communication—both written and verbal
- Must submit a resume and a writing sample with your application
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Prior experience handling personal injury matters
Work Environment
- In-Person: This is an in-office position located in downtown Los Angeles.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
