As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while providing exceptional grooming services. Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and other pets.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, providing recommendations for grooming treatments as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide excellent customer service.
- Handle animals with care, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or distress during grooming sessions and report findings to pet owners
Skills
- Proficient in animal handling techniques with experience in dog handling and care.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple animals
- Previous experience in a kennel or animal care facility is a plus
