Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather and Fluffer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing and grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to customer service and some previous experience.
Responsibilities
- Bathe and Dry pets according to their specific needs and preferences.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort during the bathing and drying process.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area and grooming tools.
- Assist in drying, brushing pets as required.
- Monitor pets for any signs of distress or health issues during grooming sessions.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs.
- Support kennel operations by helping with animal handling and care as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in animal handling or care and bathing/fluffing is preferred; experience in dog training or as a veterinary assistant/technician is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to lift heavy animals safely and comfortably.
- Knowledge of basic grooming techniques and pet care practices.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including availability on weekends or holidays if needed.
