Position Overview
We’re seeking a skilled, customer-focused Plumbing Drain Technician to join our growing plumbing team. In this role, you’ll diagnose, clear, and repair residential and light-commercial drain and sewer systems using both traditional plumbing tools and advanced equipment (e.g., hydro-jetters, video inspection cameras). Key Responsibilities
- Drain & Sewer Service: Locate, diagnose, and clear clogs in sinks, toilets, floor drains, storm drains, and main sewer lines.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate augers, motorized drain snakes, hydro-jetters, and video inspection cameras to assess and correct blockages.
- Preventative Maintenance: Educate customers on proper care; perform routine drain cleaning to prevent future issues.
- Repairs & Replacements: Install and repair piping, traps, clean-outs, and fittings as needed.
- Diagnostics & Reporting: Document findings, provide detailed work orders and cost estimates, and explain repairs/recommendations to customers.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines; maintain accurate records of materials, time, and equipment usage.
- Customer Experience: Deliver polite, professional service—arrive on time, wear company-issued uniform, and leave the work area clean.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Plumbing Technician or in a similar role within the plumbing industry.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs.) and working in various conditions—including confined spaces and outdoor environments.
- Basic math skills for measurements, material estimates, and on-the-job calculations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.02 - $32.13 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
