Pool Coordinator – Seasonal Position
Location: Country Lakes Event Venue
Season: June – September (weather permitting)
Schedule: Full-time/Part-time, Internship, Seasonal
Reports To: Events Manager
Position Summary:
Country Lakes Event Venue is seeking a responsible, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Pool Coordinator to oversee operations and event coordination at our pool area during the summer season. This position requires multitasking, leadership, hospitality, food and beverage, and bartending experience, and involves direct guest interaction and staff oversight to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable pool environment. Candidates should feel comfortable working behind a bar and managing food service operations while delivering top-tier guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Event & Guest Coordination:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and managing all events at the pool
- Assist in scheduling and supervise private rentals of the pool and pavilion
- Periodically check in throughout the day to confirm guest pass/day pass usage and enforce pool rules
- Prevent guests from exiting the venue with alcoholic beverages
Operational Duties:
- Confirm staff schedule and ensure adequate coverage
- Open and close the pool facility daily
- Organize pool furniture and secure it properly after use
- At event conclusion, lights are turned off, and porch furniture is put away
- Stock and clean restrooms and poolside areas regularly
Snack Bar & Bartending:
- Tend bar and prepare/cook food at the pool snack bar stand
- Provide friendly and efficient food and beverage service to guests
- Maintain health and safety standards according to ServSafe guidelines
- Monitor and restock supplies and inventory
- Ensure compliance with state alcohol laws and venue policies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field preferred
- Must be 21 years or older to serve alcohol
- Previous food and beverage service or bartending experience required
- Previous experience in banquet services, event coordination, or hospitality preferred
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities
- Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player
Preferred Certifications:
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification
- Ohio Alcohol Server Training Certification
- Lifeguard Certification (Red Cross or equivalent)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors for long periods
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting required
Compensation:
- starting at $16 + tip
