About the Opportunity
Performs basic or applied research of varying scope and complexity. Assists in the planning, interpretation, and publication of research results and grants. Ensures the laboratory is maintained and may exercise functional supervision over supporting research staff. May be responsible for purchasing and budget administration. May present research. The appointment generally does not extend beyond two years.
The focus of the research will be on the theory and applications of cryptography. Topics of research may include fully homomorphic encryption, doubly efficient private information retrieval, cryptography with preprocessing, black box separations, and others.
Responsibilities:
Perform research.
Prepare and write research papers, presentations, grant proposals.
Train Graduate Students.
Qualifications:
Demonstrates the ability to plan and execute research. Excellent verbal, and written communication skills, attention to details, as well as training in research methodology and quantitative data analysis. Previous supervisory experience desired. Knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired through the completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent.
Must have publications at flagship cryptography conferences such as CRYPTO, EUROCRYPT or TCC.

$59,425.00 - $83,935.00With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
