Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our Enterprise Data Analytics team at Dawn Foods. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in connecting Power BI to various source systems, with SAP integration as a top priority.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support business needs.
- Establish and manage connectivity to multiple data sources, including SAP and other enterprise systems.
- Implement robust data modeling practices to ensure scalability and performance.
- Utilize Power Query, M scripting, and DAX to transform and analyze data effectively.
- Design intuitive and visually appealing layouts aligned with business requirements and User Experience best practices.
- Configure and manage security roles and row-level security within Power BI.
- Deploy and manage solutions on PowerBI.com, including workspaces, apps, and sharing protocols.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
- Aid in the creation of Power BI standards, best practices, and user training materials
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Power BI development and administration.
- Proven experience integrating Power BI with SAP and other enterprise systems.
- Strong proficiency in:
- Data Modeling
- Power Query
- M scripting
- DAX
- Layout and Design principles
- Security configuration
- PowerBI.com administration
- Solid understanding of relational databases, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure services (Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, etc.)
- Familiarity with other BI tools and data visualization platforms.
- Knowledge of SAP BW or SAP HANA CDS Views integration with Power BI.
- General knowledge of AI tools to aid in Power BI development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable training and educating technical and business team members.
